Miscelanea

Drawing is an obsession. Rare is the day I don't draw. Some drawings do not belong to a series, they are just the result of a particular attention to an image or portion of reality. The sketchbooks are full of these isolated notes that I rework in the studio. The collection of found images is also an inexhaustible source for drawing loose themes. In exhibitions, I am interested in the presence of these isolated drawings alongside the series because they introduce tensions and associations of ideas that produce different readings of the whole.

Humor has an important place in my life and in my drawing. I am particularly interested in the disruptive association between image and text, in its capacity to question the objectivity of representation.
