ODONATA

Odonata is a project that focuses on dragonflies and damselflies as a theme. During Spring and Summer months I observe them, I draw them on my sketchbooks and later in my studio I redraw what I saw during my strolls by river and lake banks. I also colect their exuviae (exoskeletons after their emergence) and use them as drawing motifs. I am not interested in doing science with my drawings. I am interested in translating their movements and particular poses of each species, to capture what is intrinsically unique in each specimen.
